Spring is almost here! After a cold winter, it’s great to anticipate mornings outdoors as the weather warms up. Our Homeschool Preschool Curriculum for March has four themes: Mardi Gras, St. Patricks Day, Earth & Spring, and Time. Through the themes, we will be learning all about colors and counting this month.

We start the month with fun Mardi Gras partying days. The activities in the first week mostly center around fun and excitement as we learn about the history of Mardi Gras. We will be learning all about colors and imaginative play.
Then, we proceed to learn all about Irish Legends in our week of St. Patrick’s Day activities. In this week, we will be making Shamrock, Leprechaun Trap and playing with Rainbows. By immersing in crafts of the characters in the legends, we will learn all about the stories.
The third week brings us to the start of Spring. It’s a wonderful time to play with mud, water, rocks, and flowers. We will have a host of activities for sensory and free play. We will learn to count rocks, sound out letters of our names, and plant flowers.
In the final week of March, we will be learning about the clock and the concept of time. We will learn to match numbers to counting sticks. We will be making a clock craft. We will also learn to count the numbers as we move around the clock.
Since it’s still cold out, we have prepared the gross motor “Move of the Day”. If you are home with multiple preschoolers, then get them to move together. It will be a lot of fun, plenty of energy burned and great family bonding time.
We will be sending out Week by Week Packets for March via our social media channels when they are available. The first packet goes out this weekend.
